the properties.txt file in older versions has moved. does anyone know where it is or what it’s called? This is the file that controls the pulldown list of custom properties.
I found 2 locations for the files. One didn’t show up on my initial search which is why I asked the question. We have a custom property file that drives our BOM. The new location in SW2009 for the pull down list on the custom property edit tabs is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2009\lang\english. The other file called propNames.txt is located in C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\sldPropertyTabBuilder and is used to control the pull downs in the property tab builder. I think if you want these pulldowns to be consistant both files should be replaced (if applicable)
