In SW2009, when you access the appearances (except from the task pane), the appearances task pane flies out. Is there a setting inside of Solidworks to keep this from flying out? Call me old school, but i just use the feature manager and don’t use the task pane for appearances. Let me know. Thanks.

if you undock the task pane it doesnt do it. You could place it on a second screen if you have dual screen setup. You can turn the task pane off altogether but then you’d miss out on SolidJott
