Im frustrated. As you all know SW is releasing Edrawings Pro for the iPad. Its great! It has all of what we have been asking since the release of the first iPad edrawings. But why am I frustrated? Well first is that I bought the original app for 2 bucks and now after they have made the pro version they want me to pony up and pay 4.99 for the next few days to get the ‘pro’ version and after that it will cost 9.99. Grrrrr I feel like I am being nickled and dimed to death by SW now. Had I known that there was going to be a pro version that I would end up paying for in the end I would have not bought the first version and then waited and bought the second ‘Pro’ version.
I know its only a few bucks but really! After investing in the first version of the app where the funds I am sure were re-invested into the pro version I am told I have to put up more cash to get what I have been requesting for extra features.
Am I alone in this? Do you feel like you have been ripped off by buying the first version?
No links to the app have been provided, mainly I refuse to be a part of what I see as a money grab. If you want it go and google it. There are plenty of people blogging about it… Dont get me wrong the app is great but this bait and switch with the first version to the second ‘Pro’ version has gotten under my skin.

I’m not bothering with it.. I got the first one but hardly use it, some of the models I sent to it don’t even load. There’s no way to organize your files into folders, so you have to be careful to wipe out the other files when showing to different customers if you dont want them to see the thumbnails. I would hope the first version goes free to promote people actually downloading a viewer for a SW/eDw file they receive.

One thing that kinda makes me eat crow here is after looking at the software its pretty much the full version of EDrawings. Now to buy that for your machine it will cost upwards of 600.00 so 10 bucks is a bargain unless you look at having to pony up for an iPad if you dont have one.
Non the less Its just a few bucks. In the end I am not a fan of the business model used here but the software is not a bad deal
