I have a weird problem. I have a very simple part I want to put an overall length on. As you can see by the picture, it has rounded ends and holes on the same centers. I click on each end and by default of course gives me the dimension between centers. In the leaders tab I click both to MAX but they jump to the max dimension of the holes, not the max dimension of the part. I had to redo it about 6 times just to make sure I wasn’t clicking on the wrong spots.

Hold down the shift key and select each outer arc while in the dimension command. This will dim to the outsides.

Sweet! Worked perfect, thanks for the fix.
I’m really impressed with how fast the answer came too. This site rocks!

Also, when drawing the obround, you could use the Straight Slot sketch function and select the Overall Length dimension option.
The Insert > Model Items would then automatically place the dimensions as needed.
