hey everyone! i am running 64 bit vista ultimate with solidworks 2009 sp2.0 ev 64 bit. has anyone experienced the inability to resize the shortcut bar with these settings? it is not a early visibility issue because i have had this problem since sp0.0. please let me know, it is not a show stopper but can be kind of annoying!

I’ve been noticing the same thing and I’m in XP64.

Do you mean the S key shortcut? It can only be re-sized while in the Customize mode.

CBL, that is when i am unable to resize it. it seems to have a mind of its own and resizes itself however it wants and doesn’t allow me to change how it looks.

Jaraak, I am having the same problem, go into customize and add icons to it and then are unable to resize and have to live with what size it wants to go to. XP32 SW2009 SP1

alright everyone! i did some research and it is a known issue. it has to do with if you are running solidworks on the secondary display of a dual monitor setup. the work around is to drag solidworks over to your primary monitor and then resize it. this work around worked for me.
let me know if it works for you.

Thank you for finding the workaround to this retarded issue. I have WXP64 and the same problem - the workaround did the trick though.
